The death of TV doctor Michael Mosley saw an outpouring of grief across the globe, but it has got us thinking about how precarious life can be. Also, it’s not been a great time at Nine with its former news boss Darren Wick reportedly departing with a million-dollar payout despite sexual harassment accusations against him. But Nine isn't the only organisation dealing with sexual harassment allegations, so is anything improving and can we really stop it? And the Australian Olympic team is taking three baristas to Paris so that they can get the perfect flat white.
SHOW NOTES
During the show we discuss ocean rips and how to survive them . The key advice is:
- Stay calm and float to conserve your energy.
- Raise your arm and attract attention from lifeguards or lifesavers.
- While floating, rip currents may flow in a circular pattern and return you to an adjacent sandbar
- You may escape the rip current by swimming parallel to the beach, towards the breaking waves.
- Reassess your situation. If what you’re doing isn’t working, try one of the other options until you’re rescued or return to shore.
