How well do you know your own family's story? If you sat down with your grandparents, what do you think they'd tell you? 

Andra Putnis' grandmothers grew up in Latvia and experienced first Russian and then German occupation, before coming to Australia following the Second World War.

Growing up, they were simply her family. But as she grew older, Andra became curious about their history and their stories and so she started asking questions.
