WA Senator Fatima Payman will now sit as an independent, saying her principles do not align with those of the Labor Party leadership.
She was suspended indefinitely from Labor's Caucus on Sunday after breaking ranks with her party to back a motion on recognising Palestinian statehood and claims she was intimidated by her colleagues to resign.
