Edwina Farley
Edwina is the Managing Editor of the National Regional Reporting Team who specialise in investigative and feature stories from around regional Australia, across radio, podcasts, online, social media and television. She is also responsible for drawing out the best regional stories from reporters in locations around the country to share on the ABC's national programs on digital, audio and video platforms.
She has worked in the media for almost 20 years after graduating in journalism from RMIT University.
Edwina has worked for newspapers including The Age, for ABC Online and in various roles for ABC radio – both producing and presenting programs including Drive and Mornings on 774 ABC Melbourne. She has covered numerous state and federal elections, the Bali and Jakarta bombings and worked as 774 Melbourne station reporter. Her time with 774 also included many memorable outside broadcasts including AFL Grand Final eve training sessions, Anzac Day and the Melbourne Cup.
As a National Rural Reporter Edwina won two Rural Press Club of Victoria awards for news and features and travelled to Japan to investigate farming and agriculture. She also created and produced the national “Drought Not Out” challenge with ABC Sport and the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
