Laura was born and raised in Sydney and moved to the ACT at the age of 19 to study Communications at the University of Canberra.
She developed a passion for radio while volunteering at Canberra community radio station CSPR (now ArtSoundFM) in the early 90s.
During her seven years in Canberra, Laura worked in the news rooms at Mix 106.3 and 2CC/2CA, covering major stories including the Thredbo landslide and the Canberra Hospital implosion.
She's also worked as a journalist and news director in the commercial radio industry for Austereo, DMG and ARN in Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Laura has been a presenter and producer at ABC NewsRadio since 2009.
One of the highlights of her career was working as the breakfast newsreader for the Andrew Denton Breakfast Show on Triple M in the early 2000s, and today Laura brings her passion for news, sport and pop culture to the ABC Local Radio team.
At the end of 2016 Laura returned to the ACT as a presenter on ABC Radio Canberra.
